The South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF) is proud to announce the official national team selected to represent South Africa at the Deaflympics Tokyo 2025, taking place from 15–26 November 2025.
After months of preparation, results submissions, athlete assessments, and dedicated training, our Deaf athletes and coaches have been selected to carry the national flag on the global stage – showcasing talent, resilience, and Deaf pride.
This team reflects the heart of South African Deaf sport: diverse, determined, and driven by excellence.

About the Deaflympics
The Deaflympics is an elite international multi-sport event sanctioned by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD). It is the pinnacle of competition for Deaf athletes worldwide celebrating inclusive excellence in sport.
A Legacy of Determination
Team SA will compete across multiple sporting codes and will proudly represent our country, our communities, and the growing Deaf sporting movement in South Africa.
In the build-up to Tokyo 2025, athletes will participate in national training camps, receive specialist support, and engage in outreach that strengthens Deaf visibility and representation.
